Rehearse on testnet
You will need: Sparrow · Free testnet coins
Before any plate exists, do the entire flow with play money: build the 2-of-3, receive, sign with two keys, shut down between sessions, broadcast. The clicks are identical to mainnet.
Files used: Sparrow 2.5.5.
What you will do
- Get testnet coins from a faucet.
- Build a throwaway 2-of-3. Receive the coins.
- Sign with two keys, with a shutdown between.
- Broadcast. Then burn the test seeds.
Step 1 / 2
Run the rehearsal.
Get testnet coins. Make a testnet address in Sparrow, paste it into a faucet, wait for confirmation.
Build the 2-of-3. Generate three throwaway test seeds. Import them, build the 2-of-3, verify the first address on a second screen.
Receive and sign. Send the tBTC to your test wallet. Build a small spend, sign with key 1, shut down, boot fresh, sign with key 2, broadcast.
Check: The transaction confirms on a testnet explorer. You completed the whole loop.

Burn the test seeds.
Never reuse test seeds on mainnet. When the rehearsal is done, the test seeds are burned. They do not get stamped, written down, or kept.
Graduate when: You built, received, two-key-signed across a shutdown, and broadcast, without the sheet open. The plates come after you're bored of succeeding on testnet.
